Brittish Williams may have jeopardized any chances she had at receiving a lesser prison sentence.

Reports state that the reality TV Star was arrested on a warrant after she refused to show up to her scheduled 4-year sentence. She was captured by the police on January 12th, allegedly nine days after the date she was scheduled to surrender to the authorities. A few hours before agreeing to her concessions, Williams filed a new motion in court to have her sentence reduced to 2.6 years.

In her motion, she argued that her sentencing was unfair because she is a celebrity. Two days after her surrender date, she submitted another motion to have the date extended for the second time because she was unable to report as ordered.

Brittish was granted an extension to surrender so that she would be able to spend time with her daughter for the holidays. After refusing to surrender on her own, a warrant was issued and she was later in police custody.

Prosecutors spoke on her appeal and said, “Even if Williams did qualify for a potential reduction, the Government would oppose relief because she failed to report to the Bureau of Prisons as directed and she already received a more than generous disposition by way of the dismissal of counts carrying six years of consecutive mandatory minimums at the time of the original sentencing.”

Brittish Williams was found guilty on several felony fraud charges including bank, tax, and insurance fraud. To go with her sentencing, she was also ordered to pay $564,000 in restitution. Her lawyers have filed another motion to continue a bond revocation hearing.

A judge has not responded to the motion yet.
