Award winning singer Bruno Mars had to cancel his back-to-back concerts in Tel Aviv after the Hamas attacks in Israel.

Mars, who was set to make history there with his performances, fled the country after reports circulated about the coordinated terrorist attacks that took place on early Saturday morning. The attacks led Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Prime Minister, to declare that the nation is at war with Hamas. It also caused Live Nation Israel to announce the cancellation of the concert that afternoon.

It was reported that the “Finesse” singer and his 60-man crew were on their way to Athens and that the band’s gear was left behind. Refunds will be issued to those who purchased tickets using credit cards.

President Joe Biden has spoken with the prime minister and the American military is heading to Israel to administer aid. Reports state that over 600 people have been killed in the attacks, including innocent children.

Anthony Blinkin, the Secretary of State, said that the nation is waiting to verify how many Americans were killed in the attacks. “This is a massive terrorist attack that is gunning down Israeli civilians in their towns, in their homes, and as we’ve seen so graphically, literally dragging people across the border with Gaza,” he said. “So, you can imagine the impact this is having throughout Israel. And the world should be revolted at what it has seen.”
