Bryan Braman, former linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles has passed away at 38 years old.
According to reports, Braman died in a hospital in Spokane, Washington, after a battle with brain cancer. Braman’s agent, Sean Stellato said in a statement, “I lost my football brother, my client, and my dear friend, and it hurts, to say the least.”
At the start of his football career, Braman played at Long Beach City College at Division II West Texas A&M. He would go on to sign as an un-drafted free agent with the Houston Texans in 2011. He would play in Houston for three seasons before being traded to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Matthew Harper, the assistant special teams coach on Braman’s final squad, the 2017-2018 world champion Eagles, said of Braman in a statement, “He was awesome, always full of energy.” He continued, “People loved him for that, and he showed the same thing on and off the field.”
Bryan Braman had his last professional game in Super Bowl LII at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. It was the night when the Eagles beat the New England Patriots 41-33 on Feb. 4, 2018.
Braman is survived by his two daughters, 11 and 8, and his mother and sister. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this time.
