Busta Rhymes will be gracing the big screen real soon.
The rapper has been slated to join the cast in the reboot of Naked Gun. He will star alongside WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes, Liza Koshy, Pamela Anderson, Danny Huston, Walter Hauser, Liam Neeson, and others.
Neeson will play the role of Detective Frank Drebin, while Hauser will play his partner, Ed. In the original franchise, Detective Drebin was played by Leslie Nielsen, a funny investigator who always messed up on his cases. The franchise also had three more films; The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!, The Naked Gun 2 ½: The Smell of Fear, and Naked Gun 33 ⅓: The Final Insult.
Busta Rhymes is no stranger to the silver screen. He has many movie and TV credits including Halloween: Resurrection, Higher Learning, Finding Forrester, and Shaft. Aside from landing this recent role, Busta Rhymes will be going on tour with Ciara, Timbaland, and Missy Elliott, for Elliott’s “OUT OF THIS WORLD- The Missy Elliott Experience.” The tour will kick off on July 4th and the movie reboot will premiere in theaters on July 18, 2025.
