Seven-time WNBA All Star, Candace Parker is unveiling of a brand-new outdoor fitness court, the Muscle Milk Fitness Court located at D.H. Stanton Park in southeast Atlanta.
Announced on Wednesday (March 13), Muscle Milk Fitness Court is the result of a collaboration between Parker, Muscle Milk and the National Fitness Campaign, and will serve as a local community destination open 24/7 for full-body workouts—no membership required.
It will also allow everyone in the community a safe place to exercise with circuit training available for athletes of all levels.
“Atlanta is almost like a second home to me. I’m here quite a bit,” she shared with FOX 5. “I think that Atlanta has given me so much.”
Muscle Milk is on a mission to make inner and outer strength more accessible through its cause-based initiative The Lifting Project. The brand recognizes that many would-be gym-goers lack suitable fitness resources.
The court is an extension of that program, and a spokesperson for the brand said it is excited to help Atlantans own their strength.
In June 2023, The Lifting Project enlisted Parker and the National Fitness Campaign to help communities nationwide embrace a healthy lifestyle. Muscle Milk invited exercisers to vote for the location of the new 24/7 fitness court. The three finalists were Los Angeles, Orlando and Atlanta, due to population density and the need for accessible outdoor fitness.
When the partnership was newly minted, Parker shared “Working out and rebuilding muscle is an essential component of my routine every single day,” said Candace Parker. “Increasing access to effective fitness is incredibly important to me, so I couldn’t be happier to play a role in creating this Fitness Court for people to have a convenient space to break a sweat.”
