Cardi B has announced the launch of her haircare brand Grow-Good Beauty, after spending years perfecting her own hair care formula.

“I made Grow-Good because I really put the work in on my hair,” Cardi told WWD in an interview published Tuesday (March 17). “I was doing my own masks in my kitchen, using what I already knew from my family’s recipes and what I learned from my own research. I really took my time to get my hair looking healthy again after years of damage. And guess what? It worked. Now I wanna share my hair journey with everybody.”

On March 17, the Grammy winner officially revealed the line and it’s April 15 launch date.

“Ready for my hair care line… Let’s GROW GOOD together,” she wrote in the caption.

The new venture takes inspiration from her Dominican roots using DIY hair-care routines. The line includes a shampoo, conditioner, mask, and serum, all developed with Revolve Group.

Releasing exclusively online at growgood.beauty, the line focuses on repair and boosting shine.

The lineup features Wash Cycle and Wash Cycle+ shampoos ($14.99) and Soft Serve and Soft Serve+ conditioners ($14.99), all four created for varying levels of hydration and repair, along with Get Rich ($19.99), a nourishing mask inspired by Cardi’s DIY treatments with avocado, coconut, banana extract and aloe vera, and Everything Serum ($17.99), made to protect hair from heat and humidity while sealing ends and adding shine.

“I really used to hate my hair”

Cardi’s confidence in this project didn’t happen over night. In the interview with WWD, she admitted to disliking her course hair texture, often comparing it to other girls in the Bronx.

“When I was younger, I really used to hate my hair,” she says in the announcement video. “Now that I’m older, I grew to love it, appreciate it…it’s really a part of me.”

In her teens, she experimented with perms, bleach, and dyes eventually forcing her mother to cut it off and start over. “No lie, I lost all my hair again,” Cardi said to the outlet. “She had to do a big mushroom chop on me.”

In her mid-20s, she was able to nourish her hair back to health using
homemade masks and Dominican beauty rituals she grew up with. This tried and true routine grew her hair stronger and down to her waist.

Cardi calls the new endeavor “a dream come true.”
