Am I The Drama?
On June 23, 2025, Cardi B set the internet ablaze when she announced her highly anticipated sophomore album, Am I the Drama?.
The project arrived seven years after her debut album Invasion of Privacy. As part of the rollout, Cardi released a series of alternative vinyl and CD covers in the following weeks, titled the “Imaginary Playerz”,”Pretty & Petty”, and “Magnet” versions.
Creating more hype about the project, in September 2025, Cardi B held a pop-up event “Bodega Baddie” at a bodega in Washington Heights, New York City.
Amid the rollout, Cardi appeared in court after a former security guard sued the rapper for allegedly assaulting her in 2018 during an interaction at a medical office. Merging her real-life drama with her artistry, Cardi used her court appearances as a way to tie back to her album.
On September 3, she announced that she would release special CD versions of her album titled “The Courtroom Edition”, featuring photos of her viral moments from the trial on the cover

The braggadocious project featured Summer Walker, Selena Gomez, Kehlani, Dougie F, Lizzo, Cash Cobain, Lourdiz, Janet Jackson, Tyla, and Megan Thee Stallion.
Am I The Drama? earned 200,000 units in its first week and debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200. The twenty-three track project, includes fan favorites “WAP” and “Up.”
