Cassie Ventura and husband Alex Fine have welcomed their third child, a baby boy, into their family. The couple, who married in 2019, are already parents to daughters Frankie, 5, and Sunny, 3. The birth comes just under two weeks after Ventura concluded a four-day testimony in the federal criminal trial of her ex-boyfriend, Sean “Diddy” Combs.
A Joyful Addition Amidst Legal Turmoil
Ventura, 38, gave birth in a New York City hospital, where she had been staying following her court appearance earlier this month. The couple had announced the pregnancy in February with a series of black-and-white family photos on Instagram. In March, Ventura revealed they were expecting a boy during Fine’s birthday celebration, expressing her excitement about him becoming a father to their son.
“There aren’t words to describe how grateful I am that I get to do this life with you,” Ventura wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post. “You’ve taken care of me and my heart like no other… I’m SO excited to see you now become a father to OUR SON!”
Fine, a fitness trainer and entrepreneur, also shared his joy on social media, calling the new baby the “best gift” he could ask for.
Testimony Against Sean “Diddy” Combs
The birth follows Ventura’s emotional testimony in the criminal trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs, whom she dated from 2007 to 2018. During her four-day appearance in Manhattan federal court, Ventura detailed allegations of rape, abuse, and coercion during their relationship. Her testimony is considered pivotal in the case against Combs, who faces charges including sex trafficking and racketeering. Combs has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
In November 2023, Ventura filed a lawsuit against Combs, accusing him of a decade-long cycle of abuse. The case was settled quickly, but further allegations and video evidence of abuse have since surfaced. Ventura’s decision to testify publicly has been praised by many as a courageous step toward justice.
Looking Forward
As Ventura and Fine embrace their growing family, they have requested privacy during this time. Fine expressed his admiration for Ventura’s strength and resilience, stating, “To all the survivors, your stories are real, and people believe you. You’re not alone.”
