Cast of ‘Girlfriends’ Reunites for a Special Episode of ‘Black-Ish’

The crew is back together!

Tracee Ellis Ross, Jill Marie Jones, Golden Brooks, and Persia White will be joining forces for a special episode of Black-Ish. This will be the first time the ladies are all together since the iconic sitcom Girlfriends.

Tracee Ellis Ross spoke to Entertainment Weekly and mentioned, “Being able to merge the worlds of black-ish and Girlfriends was surreal for me — and so much fun.”

“The timing was perfect to be able to bring Girlfriends to a whole new audience. We haven’t all been together on camera since 2006,” Ross tells EW. “Girlfriends ran for eight years and was important to so many people. These are women I grew up with and love deeply and it was easy to tap back into the magic of our chemistry and how much we love each other. It was giggles on top of giggles on top of giggles.”

The ladies play Tracee’s group of feminist friends on the show, and the special episode will air October 8^th. 

The 6^th season of Black-Ish will premiere September 24^th. Check out a sneak peak below.
