Bronner Bros., Vivace, and Red by KISS will honor Chaka Khan at the inaugural Beauty Icon Awards.

The event will be held at the Bronner Center of Performing Arts in Atlanta on Saturday, October 11, 2025. It has been described as a “live museum of beauty.”

Hosted by journalist and media personality Segun Oduolowu, the “event aims to become the next staple in the beauty world where legends and trailblazers coexist under one roof.”

Kelly Keith, the event’s executive producer, shared a statement expressing her excitement about honoring the legendary Chaka Khan.

“Honoring Chaka Khan with the Beauty Icon Award feels natural,” Keith said. “Her music and presence have empowered generations, while her fearless style redefined beauty on her own terms. She is the embodiment of a beauty icon.”

“For nearly eight decades, Bronner Bros. has been at the forefront of beauty culture — uplifting stylists, barbers, nail artists, and entrepreneurs while setting the standard for creativity and excellence,” the organization stated in its announcement.

Other honorees include makeup artist and beauty mogul Danessa Myricks, master braider Nastacia “Nas” Brady, Afro Sheen and Ultra Sheen founder George E. Johnson, celebrity hairstylists Terence Davidson and Cliff Vmir, and Bask & Lather CEO Shaina Rainford.

Barber and groomer Sly Huncho, master stylist Kevin Kirk, Jasmine “RazorChic” Collins, acclaimed photographer and director Allen Cooley, and Kaleidoscope Hair founder Jesseca “Judy” Harris-Dupart will also be honored.

A 10-time Grammy Award winner and 2023 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, she rose to fame as the lead singer of the band Rufus. The band released classics such as “Tell Me Something Good” and “Ain’t Nobody.” As a solo artist, she continued to have success. She went on to release “I’m Every Woman” and “I Feel for You,” cementing her status as a global music icon who influenced generations.
