Chaka Khan‘s daughter, Indira Khan (I.Khan) is following the path her mom set forth.
I.Khan has released her latest song, “Magic”. The single maintains contemporary R&B elements with lyrics and vocals that sport a classic love song vibe. I.Khan uses the song’s title to express the mystical hold that her man has on her. “Magic” is one of several releases this year for the singer. “How Things Changed,” “In Your Feelings,” and “Sea of Love” are a few of her other 2023 singles.
Though she is the daughter of one of the most legendary musicians of all time, I.Khan brings her own sound and vibe to each record and performance. She got her start in music in the 90s after signing with Motown as a member of a girl group Pretty In Pink. Whilst still in her teens, the group released just one album, “Wake Up”, and two singles in 1991.
Today she is known for several roles including songwriter, backing vocalist and solo artist. In 2016, she made her film debut portraying her mom in the The Miki Howard Story.
