Chris Brown will remain behind bars in the U.K. after his bail was denied.
We recently reported that the singer was arrested in Manchester for an incident that allegedly took place two years ago. Brown has been accused of attacking music producer Abraham Diaw with a bottle at Tape nightclub.
According to reports, prosecutor Hannah Nicholls said at Manchester Magistrates’ Court that Brown had “committed an unprovoked attack with a weapon in a nightclub full of people.” She also said that Brown had hit Diaw with a bottle several times and that he proceeded to punch and kick him.
Brown was present during the decision and was seen wearing a black T-shirt and sweatpants. He spoke to give his name and his birthdate, but did not enter a plea. The District Judge, Joanne Hirst, decided to move the case to London’s Southwark Crown Court because she said that the case was “too serious” for her courtroom.
Chris Brown is scheduled to appear in court on June 13. He’s also set to start his global stadium tour in the Netherlands on June 8 and is set to perform in Manchester on June 15.
