Chris Tucker has finally resolved his issue with the IRS.
Earlier this week, it was reported that the actor has agreed to pay the IRS $3.58 million with interest in unpaid federal income taxes from 2002, 2006, 2008, and 2010. This settlement comes after the IRS wanted to collect $9.68 million from him.
Tucker has been having financial issues for over a decade and in 2014 he settled a debt worth $14 million with the government after a lien was placed on one of his properties. It was later cited that the actor had “poor accounting and business management.”
He would later be sued by the government after facing some more financial difficulties. In 2010, 2011, and 2016, the “Rush Hour” star also tried to set up a payment plan with the IRS where he was expected to pay between $25,000 to $50,000 over ten years.
However, the plan fell apart after it was determined that he couldn’t settle the debt within the designated time frame. We’re glad to see that Chris Tucker is getting things in order.
