If the opportunity ever came, Ciara would love to be the host of Love Island.
During a recent interview with Complex’s Jordan Rose, she shared that she would jump at the chance to be a part of the popular show.
“I would definitely be up in there like a mama Cici,” she said. “I don’t even know if I would be a sister to everybody, I would be like the sister but you know sometimes I turn into a momma. You just want something to be right for someone in your heart and you just want to help them out. But would I pull up on Love Island? I would pull up on Love Island for sure. I would be like, y’all get y’all mind right.”
“The stuff that they be doing on that show though be crazy,” she continued “I’m like, it’s so disrespectfully good. I be like why y’all making that girl go through this? I can’t wait to watch the episode tomorrow, what’s going to happen next?”
Ciara also admitted that she is a big fan of the show and watches it with her husband New York Giants QB Russell Wilsons when he’s not preparing for the season.
“He knows the angles, he’s going to make sure we got options. Honestly, I don’t think there’s anyone that shoots me better than him.”
In addition to her love of Love Island, Ciara recetnly released her eighth album CiCI on on her label Beauty Marks Entertainment. The LP features “How We Roll” with Chris Brown, “Ecstasy” and “This Right Here” accomapnined by Latto.
Recently, Ciara shared how she became an independent artist and how label drama led to owning her masters.
“It was also one of my greatest meetings because that propelled me to become independent, because literally he did not see the vision of what ‘Level Up’ was,” said Ciara. “I remember going downstairs to the person that was my A&R at that time his name was Monti Olson […] I’m forever grateful for him because he also believed in me when I was like eight months pregnant to sign a deal with meHe was one of the executives that were actually still at the company when the old CEO went out.”
“I asked for my masters and they gave it back to me for free, so let you know how much they didn’t believe, and now ‘Level Up’ is almost three times platinum,” she continued.
