Ciara has been tapped as the headline performer at the inaugural TikTok Awards. The highly anticipated event is a significant moment as “the social media platform as it formally celebrates the creators and culture that power its ecosystem.”

Ciara released a statement expressing her excitement about being selected as the feature performer.

“There’s nothing like performing for a community that loves movement, music, and expression as much as I do,” she said to The Hollywood Reporter. “The TikTok platform plays a significant role in entertainment. It is one of the most influential platforms in the world.”

Along with Ciara, TikTok creators REI AMI, Tan France, Tefi Pessoa, Justin Danger, Patrick Starrr, Carter Gregory and Ashby Florence will be presenters. Paris Hilton, Bethenny Frankel, and Trixie Matte, among others, are also confirmed for the event.

Scheduled for Thursday, December 18, the ceremony will be held at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. The awards ceremony will stream live on the platform and it will air on Tubi.  It will also be available to watch on demand the next day on Tubi.

In addition to her hosting duties, Ciara recently shared that she may be open to expanding her family.

“If you talk to Russ, that’s definitely happening. But we’ll see. Am I down to have one more? Without a doubt,” Ciara said.

“He was talking about number five. I’m like, ‘That’s just rude and that’s just disrespectful,” Ciara continued. “Like, wait what?’ But when the time is right, we’ll do it.”

Ciara also shared that she and Russell have made communication a priority in their relationship.

“We’re really big on communicating, especially when you don’t want to,” she told Reese. “If I’m upset about something or if he’s upset about something, it’s like we have this thing where we have to say, ‘Will you forgive me?’”
