Claressa Shields is publicly declaring her love for Papoose in a new song.
On Shield’s birthday, March 17, the undisputed champion shared a video of her in the booth singing the love song.
“I wrote this song for you / because our love is true / I’ll always be faithful to you / these other n*** ain’t got a clue,” she sings. Affectionate clips of her and Papoose spending time together are interweaved in the video.
Claressa’s unwavering love for Papoose
The song is the latest public display of affection Shields has shown towards Papoose. The Olympic gold medalist celebrated their one-year anniversary in September 2025, calling the rapper her “partner in crime.”
“Happy 1 year anniversary @papoose! 365 days of love with my favorite person,” Shields wrote on Instagram, accompanied by heart-eyed emojis.“You’ve been my rock, guiding me through the ups and downs. Thanks for being my partner in crime, for the laughter, advice, and endless love. You’re one of a kind! Cheers to many more!”
In November 2025, Shields teased fans when she flashed a diamond ring on Instagram live. “You see this big ol’ ring on my finger. Bling bling bling. Engaged.” Fans weren’t sure what to believe since Shields nor Papoose ever confirmed the engagement rumors.
This year, for Papoose’s birthday, the undefeated boxing champ penned a heartfelt message thanking God for his presence in her life. Shields wrote, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY MAN & MY MAN ONLY @papoose! God blessed me with another Year with my Bestfriend! CAN’T WAIT TO CELEBRATE YOU TODAY & THE REST OF THE MONTH PAPI!!! Let’s party like the 70s!!!! The two have been joined at the hip since early 2025, sharing a bond, Shields calls “unshakeable.” Papoose and Remy Ma are currently separated and are not yet officially divorced.
Papoose shares children from previous relationships, including a young daughter with Remy.
