Tennis star Coco Gauff is being honored with her own box of Wheaties and her first signature shoe.
The announcement comes ahead of the 2024 U.S. Open, which is set to begin on Monday (August 26). Gauff is gearing up to defend her title after winning the tournament last year at age 19. The achievement made her the youngest American champion since Serena Williams in 1999.
“I’ve had so many role models in this sport help guide my professional and personal journey, and I hope to keep empowering the next generation to also work hard and dream big,” Gauff said.
Signature Shoe
In addition to the limited-edition cereal, Gauff has her own signature kicks.
The first installment of Gauff’s signature line with New Balance has supplied athletes and fans with a steady stream of fire colorways.
The New Balance Coco CG1 deviates from the traditional simple, low-cut court silhouette. Instead, it brings a combination of serious, on-court performance features geared towards a speedy, power-driven game with an infusion of basketball and 1990s design inspiration.
The New Balance Coco CG1 “Unity of Sport” is available for $170 in adult sizes and $90 in kids’ sizes on the New Balance website.
The partnerships arrive after Gauff’s multi-year sponsorship deal with Carol’s Daughter.
