Grammy Award-winning talent Coco Jones has shared her first release of the year, ‘Here We Go (Uh Oh)’

The new track delves into the painful cycle of heartbreak, capturing the struggle of trying to move on from someone while constantly being drawn back in. Co-written by Coco herself, the track boasts production credits from industry heavyweights Cardiak and Kelvin “Wu10” Wooten, with a sample from Lenny Williams’ soulful classic “Cause I Love You.”

Directed by Joy “Simi” Hubbard, the accompanying video finds a vulnerable Coco detailing the typical doings of a toxic relationship and the struggles of potentially leaving it.

“Why it’s gotta be your way? I want it to be mine / Why you think this is foreplay? Best be out of your mind,” she sings during a theatrical performance. “They told me to ignore it, don’t you think that I’ve tried? / And I’ve tried, and I’ve tried, and I’ve tried,” she continues before leaving with a mysterious man.

The soulful song gives fans a glimpse into Jones’ upcoming debut album. “Here We Go (Uh Oh)” is her first single since her 2022 Why I Didn’t Tell You project. The EP yielded Jones’ breakout single “ICU” which earned her Best R&B Performance.
