Comedian Gary Owen speaks out about the comments that Katt Williams made about him during his interview with Shannon Sharpe.
During Williams’ interview, he mentioned Owen and asked Sharpe “why did he think that Gary Owen has been doing standup comedy for 25 years and has not crossed over yet and he’s white?”
Owen addressed the comment and initially thought that Williams was taking a jab at him, however he got clarification on it when people told him that he didn’t choose to sell his soul. In a video clip on social media, Owen followed up with an explicit story that happened to him during a movie audition.
“I was in an awkward situation one time, where I can’t say that this person was trying to make me do something, but it felt that way” the comedian said.
He continued, “I was like ‘is this that point where you s*** a d*** for a million dollars?’ And I was thinking to myself when I was in this office, I’m about to answer this question and the answer is no.”
Owen added, “I can’t say for sure that’s where it was going but that’s what it felt like.” As the clip continued, he didn’t reveal the name of the other people involved and made it very clear that he likes women.
