Before stepping on stage with Bruce Bruce at NJPAC last Saturday (Apr. 20), comedian Gary Owen swung by the WBLS studio to kick it with Shaila on a Throwback Thursday, and gave our listeners the 4-1-1 on his upcoming role in Undercover Brother 2 what really happened between his wife and the Delta Airlines agent that questioned her first class seat.
Owen says the sequel to Eddie Griffin’s 2002 flick brings Undercover Brother back to life after being frozen since the last time fans saw him on the big screen. But instead of Eddie Griffin, Mr. Undercover returns as a new-and-improved, ripped karate expert who operates out of a place called The Brotherhood. The Ohio native told Shaila he’s not going to be the guy that says his movie is amazing and worked with the best cast ever, but he will say his part is funny.
And he couldn’t slide through NYC without dishing on his favorite restaurants to hit when he’s in the city, which includes Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club (before the bottles start popping) and Diddy’s former go-to Justin’s.
Get ready to laugh and find out what else Gary Owen’s up to below.
