Louie Anderson has passed away at age 68 after a long battle with cancer.
His publicist confirmed that the comedian died in Las Vegas on Friday morning. He was reportedly in the hospital earlier this week for cancer treatment, diffuse large B cell lymphoma.
It is unknown when Anderson was diagnosed with this form of cancer, but his friend and fellow comedian Pauly Shore revealed that he was able to say his last goodbyes to Anderson on Thursday.
“Attention comedians and @thecomedystore alumni’s I say this with a heavy heart, just left the hospital in Las Vegas where Louie Anderson, his sisters, and close friends were kind enough to let me say my goodbyes. He’s still with us but keep him in your prayers.”
