Congrats! Kiyan Anthony Receives Scholarship To Father Carmelo Anthony’s Alma Mater

Like father, like son! Kiyan Anthony, the son of Carmelo and LaLa Anthony has received a basketball scholarship to Syracuse University, the same school his dad went to.

The 15-year-old is a shooting guard for his basketball team at Christ The King high school. He expressed his sentiments on receiving the news on his Twitter account. “Beyond blessed to receive an offer from Syracuse University,” he wrote.

It has been documented that Carmelo Anthony became a legendary player after playing for one season with coach Jim Boeheim. While playing during that season, he averaged 22.2 points and 10 rebounds.

In 2003, he was selected third overall pick in the NBA. Since being in the NBA, he has played for the Denver Nuggets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, New York Knicks, Portland Trail Blazers, and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Congratulations to Kiyan, who has also received offers from other schools.
