This is heartbreaking.
Cori Broadus, the daughter of Hip-Hop legend Snoop Dogg, has opened up about having suicidal thoughts. The 21-year-old shared a message on Instagram over the weekend where she wrote in the caption that she almost took her own life within the past weeks.
“The last few weeks my mental has not been so great at one point I tried to end my life but you and my family really give me a purpose to live and helped me realize life is much more than materialistic things and you gotta keep pushing through the bullshit. THANK YOU.”
According to reports, Cori is a recent survivor of an attempt. Save.org states that approximately 130 people take their lives every day in the United States, but over 285,000 survive an attempt and that is one death by suicide in the US every 11 minutes.
Snoop Dogg has yet to address his daughter’s statement. We will keep her and her family in our prayers.
