Cory Hardrict Defends Tyler Perry
Comedian and actress Loni Love’s review gained significant attention on social media. She suggested that Tyler Perry should hire experienced Black writers and directors to enhance his films. Love tweeted, “I love that Tyler is paying Black actors now. I wish he would hire Black writers and directors that have experience to help him with his movies… He could improve the movies & make them award worthy if he would stop trying to save money by doing the writing and directing himself.”
When approached by TMZ, Cory Hardrict responded to these critics. “It’s the #1 movie in the world … I don’t know nothing about it, I didn’t see that. The people love the movie, and we do it for the people. If the culture rocking with it, it’s all love.” Hardrict added, “Everyone has an opinion and they’re entitled to it, so it’s fine.”
In response to Loni Love’s comments, Cory stated, “He [Tyler Perry] wrote the #1 movie in the world… go see it.”
Reflecting on His Experience
When asked about working with Tyler Perry again despite the negative reviews, Cory expressed his admiration. “I love Mr. Tyler Perry! We’re working again on something for sure! It was the most incredible experience I ever had on a film. He takes care of his actors.”
Cory also reflected on his relationship with his ex-wife, actress Tia Mowry. They had an encounter at the Essence Black Women In Hollywood event that some found awkward. Cory dismissed these claims, saying, “I don’t know nothing about being awkward. It’s real love there. We love each other unconditionally, that’ll never change. We have two beautiful children that we’re co-parenting. It’s all love.”
Regarding his personal life, Cory mentioned, “I’m currently not focused on romantic relationships. I’m prioritizing my career and children.”
