D.L. Hughley’s Daughter Addresses Mo’Nique’s Comments About Her Family

It looks like this feud between D.L. Hughley ad Mo’Nique has taken another turn.

The comedian’s daughter, Ryan Nicole Shepard, is now stepping in and addressing Mo’Nique about the comments she made about her mother and sister.

In a message that Shepard wrote, she shared how displeased she was with the actress’s remarks. “Out of all things you could have legitimately said about my dad if that’s the route you wanted to take, you chose to be deliberately mean and hurtful to two Black women who have nothing to do with this conversation.”

She continued, “Using my mama and my sister to show people my father’s character only shows how little mental stability, dignity, morality and respect you have not only for yourself but other Black women.”

Shepard added, “You’re disgusting and you absolutely need to keep every single member of MY family’s name out of your poisonous mouth. Not because you can do us harm, you can’t. But because you are adding to the historical and systematic disrespect and trauma of other Black women… Who you claim to love. And for what? A check?”

On her Instagram account, Mo’Nique posted a video clip of Hughley speaking on the time he dismissed his daughter’s claims about being sexually assaulted by someone whose character’s he thought he knew better. The former The Parkers star wrote, “When I said “how can DL’s wife suck the d*** of a coward, this is what I meant.

Shepard has since offered to have a face-to-face sit down with Mo’Nique and she has seemingly agreed.
