After just two years of marriage, Milwaukee Bucks player Damian Lillard has filed for divorce from his wife Kay’La. The news comes days after Lillard was traded to the Bucks. The the mother of his three kids, after just two years of marriage. He filed to end the marriage on Oct. 2 in Clackamas County Circuit Court.
According to the filing, Lilliard says “irreconcilable differences caused the irremediable breakdown of their marriage.” The two were already living separately as the filing states Kay’La moved into a $2.7 million home in December without Lillard.
After being introduced to each other in college at Weber State University, the two began dating. Kay’La graduated with a degree in nursing and in healthcare administration for several years. Lillard went on to play basketball.
The two got engaged during the All-Star Weekend in February 2020. In 2021, they got married in Santa Barbara, Calif, alongside guests like Draymond Green, Snoop Dogg, and Common. Tevin Campbell performed for the wedding.
The two share three children, Damian Jr., 5, along with twins Kalii and Kali, age 2.
