The Wild ‘N Out comedians are starring in their first Netflix comedy special.
Comedy trio DC Young Fly, Karlous Miller and Chico Bean are making their Netflix comedy debut in 85 South: Ghetto Legends.
Premiering June 20, the special was filmed in December 2022 at the Gateway Center Arena in Atlanta.
Mississippi native Karlous Miller is a comedian, actor and rapper. He began his comedy career in Atlanta, Georgia and grew in popularity for his podcast The 85 South Show with co-hosts DC Young Fly and Chico Bean.
Chico Bean started his comedy career in Greensboro, North Carolina. He is a founding member of the “Freestyle Funny Comedy Show” and his known for his “Sucka MC Battles” on Wild ‘N Out.
DC Young Fly rose to fame for his “roasting sessions” videos on Instagram and Vine. His famous lines include, “bring dat ass here boi” and “”faawwkk you mean”. His videos earned him co-signs from celebrities like Kevin Hart, Michael Blackson and Chris Tucker.
From being cast members on Wild ‘N Out to hosting their own podcast, the trio has been “getting to the bag” together for years. In October 2020 and 2021, DC Young Fly, Chico Bean and Karlous Miller, hosted the BET Hip-Hop Awards.
Actress Sanaa Lathan‘s dad, Stan Lathan serves as the director and executive producer for the exciting project. With an extensive background in comedy production, 85 South is the latest of many comedy specials for Lathan. Within this genre, his production credits include Killin’ Them Softly, Equanimity, The Bird Revelation, Sticks & Stones, and The Closer.
