Deion Sanders hasn’t quite come to terms with his upcoming role as a grandfather. His daughter Deiondra Sanders’ pregnancy announcement in March came as a surprise to him. “I haven’t digested that whole thing yet,” Sanders confessed.

He expressed difficulty in embracing the idea, admitting that nothing about becoming a grandfather excites him at the moment. However, he expressed pride in his daughter for waiting until her thirties to embark on this journey.

“I’m proud of my baby that she’s at least waited until her thirties to give me this gift of life,” Sanders shared. “But I want to make sure she’s straight emotionally and psychologically as well.”

Deiondra’s announcement on Instagram was heartfelt, shedding light on her reasons for embracing motherhood. She emphasized that her pregnancy wasn’t planned but seen as a divine blessing, despite the challenges she has faced.

“I’m not having my baby to keep a man,” she asserted. “I am having my baby for all the times I was told I wouldn’t be able to.”

Deion Sanders’ New Role: Soon-to-Be Grandpa

Sanders, known for his prowess in multiple sports, is already a father of five. His comments on Deiondra’s post exuded both support and humor, reflecting his excitement despite his initial reservations.

“PREACH BABY PREACH,” Sanders commented, adding humor about his age and newfound role. “You’ve always had a MAN in your life that u call DADDY & ain’t gon ever ever let u DOWN especially when I’m UP.”

Despite his own achievements, Sanders cherishes family time, whether coaching his sons or staying connected through group chats. His latest venture with Boost Mobile aligns with his values, offering a chance to connect with both his family and fans.

Boost Mobile’s collaboration with Sanders includes a sleek, limited-edition Coach Prime-branded Motorola Razr. Decorated with gold and black finishes and Sanders’ inspiring mantra “You Gotta Believe,” the phone embodies his spirit.

Sanders sees this partnership as an opportunity to engage with fans and support a brand committed to innovation. As he navigates this new chapter of grandfatherhood, Sanders remains focused on family, football, and inspiring belief in others.
