Former NFL star and current University of Colorado football coach Deion Sanders openly praised his girlfriend, actress and influencer Karrueche Tran. Sanders spoke about what he treasures most in their relationship during an appearance on his streaming talk show We Got Time Today this week.

Sanders, 58, known for his bold personality on and off the field, did not hold back when describing Tran’s impact on his life. He called her “a good woman” and said she brings “peace, happiness, and positivity” to his everyday life.

“What I love most about Karrueche is the honesty of her heart and her soul,” Sanders told co-host Rocsi Diaz. “She has added so much to my life and my days and my moments. I’m smiling.”

A Quiet Romance in the Spotlight

The couple first drew public attention last summer when Tran appeared by Sanders’ hospital bedside as he recovered from bladder cancer surgery. That moment sparked widespread interest in their connection, though both kept details private for months.

Sanders later nodded to the speculation with playful avoidance during media appearances. In one interview, when pressed about the relationship, he joked that he had “a bad connection” before ending the call.

Tran, 37, hinted at her romantic life on the podcast What’s Next With J. Ryan, saying simply: “I’m dating” and “if I wasn’t having fun, I wouldn’t be in it.”

Support Through Challenges

Throughout Sanders’ health battles, Tran was a visible source of support. She was by his side during hospital visits and helped him navigate difficult treatments. Those moments deepened speculation about their bond and revealed a compassionate side of their relationship to fans.

Sanders’ public remarks mark some of the most detailed comments he has made about Tran. “God ain’t built me to hide nothing,” he said, referring to being open about life’s hardships as a way to help others.

As the Colorado coach heads into the offseason, his focus on gratitude and joy has become clearer. He credited Tran with helping him maintain a positive outlook after a challenging year filled with health concerns and a demanding coaching schedule.

While neither Sanders nor Tran has clarified formal plans for the future, their public appearances together — including family gatherings and holiday celebrations — suggest a deepening connection. Both seem comfortable navigating life’s ups and downs side by side.
