Sean “Diddy” Combs, the renowned music mogul, is set to spend Valentine’s Day within the confines of Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC). His meals for the day will be modest, reflecting the standard fare provided to inmates.
Valentine’s Day Menu for Diddy
According to the facility’s schedule, breakfast will commence at 6 a.m., featuring fruit, cereal, breakfast cake, and skim milk. Lunch, served at 11 a.m., offers inmates a choice between a chicken patty sandwich and a chickpea burger, accompanied by steamed rice, pinto beans, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, a hamburger bun, fruit, and a beverage. Dinner, starting after 4 p.m., includes options of chili or three-bean chili, green beans, garden salad with dressing, whole wheat bread, and a beverage.
Despite the stark contrast to his previous lavish lifestyle, Combs has been adapting to his circumstances. He engages in recreational activities such as playing card games and basketball with fellow inmates during designated hours. Family members, including his mother and children, have been supportive, visiting him on weekdays. A former inmate commented on his integration, stating, “He’s well-liked inside prison. People are getting along with him.”
Legal Challenges
Combs has been in federal custody since September 2024, following an indictment on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges. Despite multiple attempts by his legal team, bail has been denied several times due to concerns over potential witness tampering. His trial is scheduled to begin on May 5, 2025.
Adapting to the conditions at MDC has been challenging for Combs. His attorney, Marc Agnifilo, highlighted the difficulties, noting, “I think the food’s probably the roughest part of it (for him).” The daily routine includes early breakfasts and meals that are a far cry from the gourmet dishes Combs was accustomed to. Despite these hardships, he is reportedly maintaining his composure and focusing on his upcoming trial.
