It’s been three months since the icon, Earl Simmons, aka DMX, passed away.
His official cause of death is revealed. As reported on sources, according to the Westchester County medical examiner’s office, X died from a cocaine-induced heart attack that caused a lack of blood circulation to his brain.
Earlier in April, DMX was rushed to the hospital due to a heart attack triggered by an overdose. He was in critical condition and fighting for his life for a week. Ruff Ryders held a vigil in the streets outside of White Plains hospital, where he was recovering. Unfortunately, his brain is in a “vegetative state,” and he passed away on April 9.
DMX was only 50 years old. He left behind 15 children and a fiancée, Desire Lindstrom.
