Doechii addresses the rumors that she was lip-synching during her Grammy performance.
The Florida rapper went on social media to explain all of the work she put in to give an outstanding performance at the Grammys. Doechii addressed one user who called her out for lip-synching and wrote, “Some parts of the live song you can see tha she’s not saying anything and the song is still playing with her pre-recorded voice.”
However, the rapper clapped back and said, “I can’t possibly get on here and say this calmly or nicely. Y’all are stupid as hell.” She continued, “So slow! That is my DJ’s voice picking up on the lines that I can’t say because I’m doing a somersault.”
Doechii’s performance included flips, an outfit change, a split, a moving runaway, and more. “That entire performance was live!”, she revealed. During her rant, she also said that she was sick. “I was sick as a dog with bronchitis and the flu, performing my a** off in a straddle on top of human men.”
She added, “I worked my a** off to build the stamina for that, for y’all to play in my face? I don’t lip-sync. Don’t ever f*****g play with me like that. Ever!”
