Draya Michele caught herself in a dispute with sheriffs and her ex-boyfriend, Tyrod Taylor, over a home in Los Angeles.
According to reports, the former reality star was out of town when the sheriffs appeared to her home in Chatsworth, California on Wednesday, Nov. 20. She said that she received a frantic phone call from her nanny revealing that the sheriffs were trying to lock her and the kids out of the house.
Michele called her lawyer who help deescalate the situation. She also revealed that she learned that Taylor’s company filed an eviction lawsuit against her. The default judgement had been entered in the case and she argued that she was never given any paperwork about the eviction nor was she informed by her ex’s legal team.
Reports also say that Tyrod Taylor got permission to serve the court documents to his ex via mail which did not violate any law. Earlier this year, Draya Michele filed a lawsuit which she asked the judge to “force the NFL player to follow through on an agreement to sell her a home he purchased.”
The home was reportedly purchased in 2022 by Taylor when he and Draya were dating. He bought the property for her and her children and they agreed that she would pay him monthly rent. She later agreed to buy the home from him between Nov. 2023 to Nov. 2025. She offered to buy the home for $2.8 million in October 2023, however, Taylor countered with $3.2 million. Draya accepted the offer and continued to pay the monthly rent of $19,000 and spent an additional $270,000 on home improvements.
Draya revealed that Tyrod Taylor began to back out of their agreement and refused to sell her the house. He has denied all allegations and his lawyer claims that the model gave him an “unsigned lease, an unsigned purchase agreement, and emails evidence at most negotiations for the possible purchase of the subject property.”
During the court hearing, the judge allowed Draya to sue Tyrod for $270,000 she spent on the home improvements.
