Druski is looking forward to hosting the BET Awards on Sunday (June 28).
Speaking to “Extra”, Druski revealed that he has a lot of tricks up his sleeve that the audience will enjoy. The comedian said it’s “open season” on everybody, and we can “expect some great sketches and characters.”
“I like to do improv, so we’ll see,” Druski said. “I’m quick on my toes, so we’ll see what happens.”
He also lauded Lauryn Hill and Teyana Taylor, who will be honored at the highly anticipated awards show.
“Those women in music are very iconic,” Druski said.
When asked if he received advice from previous hosts Kevin Hart, Jamie Foxx, and Taraji P. Henson, Druski said he watched them all.
“I’m friends with a lot of them,” he said. “And I think them just passing the torch to me says enough of just like, ‘Yo, you got this.’”
Druski also shared his thoughts on the alleged wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Rumored for July 3, the upcoming ceremony is reportedly tied to Madison Square Garden as a potential wedding venue. Druski is “just ready for the wedding.”
“I don’t know where the wedding’s going to be,” Druski explained. “I just heard it’s happening. I’m glad for them.”
Druski added, “They’re really good people.”
