Earthquake, the legendary comedian, is set to tape his second special for Netflix. The highly anticipated special will air on September 30.
Titled “Joke Telling Business,” the special is described as a no-holds-barred hour of unfiltered comedy that cements him as one of the sharpest and most relatable voices in stand-up.” It follows the critical success of his last special, Legendary: Earthquake, which was produced by Dave Chappelle. It was also named by The New York Times as the funniest comedy special of the year.
In addition to the new special, Earthquake is also developing a scripted comedy series that he’s producing along with Bill Burr. This marks a new era for him — transitioning from stand-up stages and radio dominance to becoming a central figure in narrative comedy.

Beginning his career in Atlanta in the early ’90s, Earthquake got his big break when he was asked to join the Russell Simmons Def Comedy Jam Tour in 1997.
Earthquake recently appeared on John Mulaney Presents: Everybody’s in LA Earthquake has also appeared on series like The Neighborhood and Everybody Hates Chris. In film, his credits include Jerry Seinfeld’s Unfrosted, the Kevin Hart comedy Something Like a Business, and Clerks II.
His popular radio show Quake’s House airs daily on Sirius XM Channel 96.
