Congratulations are to Eddie Murphy’s son, Eric, and Martin Lawrence’s daughter, Jasmin, as they recently got engaged.
The happy couple shared the news on social media with Eric Benet’s “Spend My Life with You” playing in the background. In her caption, Jasmin wrote, “We’re engaged!! God truly blessed us with a love that feels like destiny. We couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter.”
She continued, “Special thank you to everyone who made this moment so beautiful.” In the video, Jasmin can be seen walking into a room while holding Eric’s hand. The room was full of candles and rose bouquets and then Eric got on one knee to propose, which she said.
Eric and Jasmin seemingly began dating in July 2021 when Jasmin posted Eric for his birthday with the caption the read, “Happy birthday, my love! I’m so incredibly blessed to know you, to love you, and to have you by my side. Cheers to many more blessings, laughs, and beautiful memories! I love you so much.
In a 2022 interview, Jasmin revealed how they met. “It wasn’t even our dads, and they’ve done two movies together; they’re friends,” she said. “We became really good friends because we bonded on a lot of things and over time, it just, you know, became more.”
