Ella Mai was on trip because she was all boo’d up, but it looks like someone new is catching her eye in her latest single, “Whachamacallit,” featuring Chris Brown.
The three-minute track is the latest diddy from Ella Mai’s self-titled debut album, which is set for digital release next Friday (Oct. 12). Interscope’s new star croons over the DJ Mustard production as she considers entering a “whachamacallit” with today’s bad boy of R&B!
“Something about being wrong that just feels so right/Think about it in the morning ‘cause we be all night/Baby we can keep going ‘cause you already know/And you never stop the show until you see the light.”
And she clarifies, saying, “It ain’t cheatin’/It’s a whatchamacallit/This could be our little secret/Whachamacallit.”
Of course, Breezy bellows back.
“Girl I know you got a man/He can’t make you lose it like on.”
When asked about her thoughts on Chris Brown, Mai said, “Vocally, he’s amazing. If he didn’t come out the way he did and make the music that he did, I think I would be a completely different artist. He’s influenced an entire generation.”
