Elon Musk is losing it over a The Odyssey‘s rumored casting of the mythical figure, Helen of Troy.

Universal Pictures’ feature film adaptation of the story of Odysseus is set to be released this summer. It is directed by British filmmaker Christopher Nolan, best known for his 2008 picture The Dark Knight.

For the role of Helen of Troy, it is alleged that Kenyan Mexican actress Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave and Black Panther). In the story, Helen of Troy was one of the most beautiful woman of Greece and the indirect cause of the Trojan War.

Elon Musk is one of many critics to voice their frustration with Nolan’s rumored casting of Nyong’o. On Sunday, he wrote, that ‘Chris Nolan has lost his integrity.’

The comment came in response to a post complaining that Helen of Troy was historically described as “fair-skinned” and blonde — and that casting a Black actress would be an “insult” to Homer’s epic.

There is currently no confirmation if Lupita Nyong’o is indeed the official cast. If she is on the roster, Nyong’o would join the star-studded cast including Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, Benny Safdie and Elliot Page.

The latest addition to “The Odyssey” cast is 10-time Grammy nominee Travis Scott. His role was revealed in a TV spot that aired during Fox’s broadcast of the NFL AFC Championship game

Whoopi Goldberg chimes in

On The View, co-host Whoopi Goldberg addressed Musk’s comments head-on, calling out the premise behind his criticism.

“I don’t know if you realize this, Lupita is also considered one of the most beautiful women in the world,” Goldberg said during the segment. “So I’m not sure what you’re trying to say.” She added that Musk didn’t need to see the film at all and suggested he “look in the mirror” before weighing in on others’ appearances.
