Good News: Washington D.C. Mayor Proclaims Feb. 8th 'Taraji P. Henson Day' [VIDEO]

Congratulations are in order! 2019 is starting off great for actress Taraji P. Henson. If you can remember, she recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, her new movie ‘What Men Want’ debuted in theatres yesterday, and now THIS!

Mayor Muriel Bowser of Washington D.C. officially made Feb 8th, Taraji P. Henson day.  The mayor took to her Instagram to announce the exciting news. She stated, “As a native Washingtonian she has inspired future generations to shoot for the stars.”


Henson took to her Instagram to express her gratitude, “then THIS HAPPENED!!!! I am just so honored‼️ From an #aroundthewaygirl with dreams I thank you Mayor Bowser and the entire city for riding with me for all of my life!!!”
