Jamie Foxx Announces New Stand-Up Comedy Tour: 'Kill The Comedian'

Comedian Jamie Foxx is going on tour! Foxx announced he’s going on tour later this year. The show will be called Kill The Comedian.

 

We know Jamie is a triple-threat with his singing, acting and comedian career- now, the 51 year-old entertaining his getting back to his comedy roots. Tuesday night, Foxx surprised his fans at a event at the Time Square Edition hotel. There fans were surprised to see him behind the bar.



As he was naming cities he mentioned, “The reason I know those area codes is because that’s how I got started. I’m going on my new tour — it’s called Kill the Comedian. Jamie Foxx. Make sure you come check me out. I got these jokes for your motherf—kin’ a*s.”

 

In the past he released 3-comedy specials- in 1993, 2002 and 2003. He will be returning to the stand-up scene after 16 years.

 

He also mentions he has a fresh take on comedy after so many years, “I look to Rock to see what his take is on things. I look to Chappelle. I look to George Lopez, D.L. Hughley, all my guys. So I feel like I got a fresh take and a funny take,” Foxx added.

 

No dates have been announced as of yet.
