Hip-hop is mourning the loss of the legendary Kangol Kid of the rap group U.T.F.O.
It has been reported that Kangol, whose real name is Shaun Fequiere, was battling stage 4 colon cancer and recently undergone surgery.
Two weeks ago, Fequiere posted a photo of himself and LL Cool J who visited him while in the hospital.
“Need I Say More????” he wrote in the caption. “I stepped out of the recovery room and was greeted by this guy. Maybe you’ve heard of him??? Ladies and Gentlemen, the man, the myth, the legend, Mr. G.O.A.T. himself L.L. Cool J.”
Many of Kangol’s friends and fans paid tribute to the legendary rapper.
