See The Film ‘PUSHOUT’ At COS 2020

Watch an exclusive screening ofPUSHOUT: The Criminalization Of Black Girls In Schools, at this year’s Circle Of Sisters 2020.

The “feature-length documentary that takes a deep dive into the lives of Black girls and the practices, cultural beliefs, and policies that disrupts one of the most important factors in girls’ lives – education.”

The screening is presented by The Loveland Foundation, a therapy fund for Black women and girls. The film examines how Black girls are disproportionately punished in schools. “Black girls are six to seven times more likely than their white counterparts to experience an out-of-school suspension. They are nearly three times more likely to be arrested on school campuses. And so we see, you know, these incidents, again, across the spectrum of discipline in schools, where black girls are experiencing harm in this way.”

This film is definitely a must-see! You won’t want to miss PUSHOUT: The Criminalization Of Black Girls In Schools, at this year’s Circle Of Sisters.
