Sheryl Underwood Speaks Out On Sharon Osbourne’s Departure From ‘The Talk’

Sheryl Underwood is speaking out on Sharon Osbourne’s leave from the daytime talk show The Talk.

Osbourne’s exit comes after a heated on-air exchange with Underwood took place. On her podcast “Sharon Walks Away”, Underwood addresses the exchange that happened on the March 10th episode.

The exchange between the two hosts started when Osbourne came to the defense of Piers Morgan after his controversial comments about Meghan Markle during her interview with Oprah.

Underwood said, “While you are standing by your friend, it appears that you are giving validation or safe haven to something that he has uttered that is racist.”

Osbourne would claim that Underwood’s questions blindsided her, however, Underwood said that none of the questions came from the show’s executive and that she wanted the discussion to be framed in a way that was not seen as an attack.

“In my gut, I thought this was going to go left. And so I wanted to put it in its proper order, be very calm.”

Underwood states that she has not spoken to Osbourne since the last time they were on set together.
