Wendy Williams said that she was ready for her comeback and this is a start.
The TV host made a rare appearance at a Met Gala after-party in New York City on Monday evening. Williams, who has been dealing with a series of health and financial issues was seen attending the party with the founder and CEO of Hollywood Unlocked, Jason Lee.
In an Instagram post, Lee revealed that Williams was his mystery date. “Yo, came to New York for the Met Gala, but I wasn’t going to come outside without the sexist date in New York City.”
He continued, “How you doin’?” he asked Williams as he panned the camera on her. “I’m good.”
We have reported that Wendy Williams has been suffering from Graves’ disease as well as having financial issues. She is currently on the road to recovery and has plans to return to television “bigger and brighter than ever” once she is 100%.
Wendy Williams has been out of the spotlight just ahead of her show, The Wendy Williams Show season 13 premiere citing her health issues. During her absence, the show had many celebrity hosts to fill in for her before it was officially announced that the show will come to an end soon.
Sherri Shepard, who was one of the guest hosts on the show, secured Williams’ daytime slot with her own talk show coming this fall.
