Beloved actor Eric Braeden has revealed that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Braeden, best known for his role as Victor Newman in the daytime soap opera, “Young and the Restless” opened up about his diagnosis in a video on social media. He stated that he started noticing an issue with his prostate while recovering from a knee replacement.
“I hate to be this personal, but I think this may be good for some older guys who may or may not listen to this,” he said. “It will happen to them.”
The 82-year-old went on to say that he began to make frequent trips to the bathroom, which made him visit his doctor. He was given a catheter and had plans to undergo a new bladder treatment procedure.
However, Braeden was having issues with urinating after removing the catheter. The states that the doctor planned on removing the cancer and relieving the pressure on his urethra. “Now some of you may know that one doesn’t really know what kind of cancer it is until they go into it,” he said.
According to reports, Eric Braeden had some cancer cells removed and is currently undergoing treatment that includes immunotherapy. In the video, he reassures his fans that he is doing better.
