Eva Marcille is opening up about her relationship with ex-husband Michael Sterling, revealing that the pair appears to be rebuilding their bond more than two years after their divorce was finalized. The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum said they are “working towards the future,” and that he is “my forever.”
A “Soft Launch” Sparks Reconciliation Rumors
Marcille and Sterling made headlines earlier this year when Marcille shared a video from the Essence Festival featuring the couple together. In the clip, she rested her head on his shoulder while riding a golf cart. She captioned the post, “Happy Essence! I’m floating🌻 soft launch #ganggang #essencefest.”
“The two, who have now rekindled their love, finalized their divorce in 2023,” Essence reported, noting the emotional complexity of their journey. Family has remained a top priority throughout the process. “Sterling has also been playing his role as the man of the house and a father to their kids,” the outlet noted.
In her recent remarks to Entertainment Tonight, Marcille didn’t hold back. “He is my forever,” she said. “He is and always will be my forever and only.” The statement resonated with fans and friends alike. Bravo co-stars such as Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore and others left waves of supportive comments.
The journey began with a difficult separation. Marcille initially filed for divorce in March 2023, citing the marriage as “irretrievably broken.” The divorce was finalized in August of that year.
She later reflected on the emotional journey. “It was like the stomach flu,” Marcille said in April 2024, describing the emotional toll and drastic weight loss she endured. “When you drop a 200-pound person, you’re gonna drop at least 30 pounds,” she said.
While neither has publicly confirmed remarriage, their social media posts hint at something deeply renewed. Marcille reposted a photo of the couple embracing with “My FOREVER. GangGang” scrawled across the image.
They share three children: sons Michael Jr. and Maverick, and Marcille’s daughter Marley Rae, who Michael adopted.
