Joseph Barrino, the father of North Carolina native and Grammy Award-winning singer Fantasia Barrino, is blasting her husband over his viral Valentine’s Day moment.
Last week, during Fantasia’s Houston, Texas Valentine’s Day show, Kendall Taylor re-proposed to his wife of 11 years, gifting her an 11-carat diamond ring in front of a packed out crowd.
The seemingly fairy-tale moment has now taken a sharp turn after Joseph chimed in with his thoughts.
“FAKE CRY BULL CRAP…”
In a fiery Facebook post, Joseph blasted the proposal, calling it “Fake Cry Bull Crap” and suggesting there was manipulation behind the gesture.
On Feb 15, he wrote, “Fake Cry Bull Crap…hes giving back some of the missing money the fired financial committe says hes probably stole…that they couldn’t account for…y’all pray for fantasia! I hate this for her!”
He went live on Facebook shortly after, doubling-down on his accusation that Kendall is involved in Fantasia’s missing money.
Joseph claims Kendall tried to pin missing money on a financial accountant in Fantasia’s camp but believes Kendall was involved.
“I was just told a week or so ago by a financial person that was fired from her camp that that they were running up on him [Kendall] because their was money missing,” Joseph said in his video. “And there was no paper trail on his part, the other folk got fired but he got her [the financial person] fired.”
Joseph made it clear he felt obligated as a father to “shout it out,” saying he would be less of a dad if he stayed silent.
He also acknowledged the possibility that Fantasia can cut him off for speaking publicly.
“If she don’t talk to me because I’m trying to help her, that’s God, she gon have to deal with God for that,” Joseph said. “There’s too many celebrities who have went down because of the same thing. You say you love God but you put a man before him.”
