Fat Joe is doing his part to give back to those in need.

The rapper has partnered with Food For The Poor to create a relief fund to help families in Haiti. According to reports, the Fat Joe & Friends Relief  For Haiti, will supply food, aid, and other essentials to the country as they are facing a humanitarian crisis.

This initiative comes as Haiti is experiencing chaos between gangs burning police stations, raided multiple prisons that led to the freeing of over 4,000 inmates. Due to this unrest, many Haitians have been displaced with little to no access to basic hygiene, food, and water.

In a statement, Fat Joe said, “My heart goes out to all the Haitians that are suffering because of this humanitarian crisis. We need everyone’s support with this.”

He continued, “We’ve been watching this tragedy unfold and exploring the most efficient and effective ways to provide meaningful support.”

The fund has hopes of providing the people of Haiti with a lot of supplies including diapers, portable mattresses, cooking supplies, and more.
