Felicity Huffman received a light sentence after admitting to paying a $15,000 bribe to inflate her daughter’s SAT test scores.

The actress pled guilty to felony and fraud charges earlier in May. She must also pay a $30,000 fine and complete 250 hours of community service. Also, Huffman was sentenced to 14 days in jail.

During the sentencing, Huffman apologized to the students, other parents, colleges/universities. “I am sorry to my daughter Sophia, and Georgia, and I am sorry to my husband Will. I have betrayed them. [Sophia] said to me, ‘I don’t know who you are anymore, Mom.’ Then she asked, ‘Why didn’t you believe in me? Why didn’t you think I could do it on my own?’

Huffman’s legal team is reportedly trying to get her to serve her two-week sentence in a “luxurious” minimum-security women’s prison. It’s been dubbed as one of America’s “cushiest prisons,” located close to the Bay Area.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons hasn’t decided where Huffman will serve her time at yet.

Some people online felt Huffman’s sentence illustrated special privilege since a black woman who did something similar received a harsher sentence.
