On Monday, April 28, 2025, Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” tour commenced at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. While the performance was a spectacle, the VIP lounge witnessed an unexpected altercation among attendees.
A video obtained by the Daily Mail captures the incident: several women, dressed in Western-themed attire, engaged in a heated argument that escalated into a physical confrontation. One woman had her cowboy hat knocked off, and another was thrown to the ground before bystanders intervened to separate the group.
The cause of the confrontation remains unknown. The Los Angeles Police Department has not yet commented on the incident.
Beyoncé Delivers a Memorable Performance
Despite the altercation, the sold-out concert was a memorable event for many fans. Beyoncé, 43, delivered a performance that included special appearances from her daughters, Blue Ivy, 13, and Rumi, 7. Blue Ivy danced to her mother’s 2022 hit “America Has a Problem,” dazzling the audience in an all-white outfit before changing into a sparkly ensemble. Later, both sisters joined their mother on stage during a performance of Beyoncé’s 2024 song “Protector.” Beyoncé shares her children—including 7-year-old son Sir—with her husband, Jay-Z.
The “Cowboy Carter” tour celebrates Beyoncé’s eighth studio album, which recently earned her the Album of the Year Grammy. The tour includes 32 concerts across the U.S. and Europe, concluding in Las Vegas on July 26.
For fans in New Jersey and New York the tour will be making several stops at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, on May 22, 24, 25, 28, and 29.
While the opening night had its share of drama, the “Cowboy Carter” tour promises to be a memorable experience for fans worldwide.
